Job SummaryThe Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing activities and operations in the Accounts Payable function for NuSil, a wholly owned subsidiary of Avantor. This role will supervise the AP team and assist AP accountants with reviewing and posting invoices, preparing reports and accruals, and other activities. The AP team maintains the primary financial data for use in accounting records, and this position will be responsible for overseeing the classifying, computing, and recording of financial information.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the AP team and assist AP accountants with reviewing and posting invoices, preparing reports and accruals, and other activities.
- Oversee the classifying, computing, and recording of financial information.
- Guide the AP team through the SAP ERP implementation, scheduled for 2022.
- Prepare reports for the Accounting Team to use as a basis for accruals.
- Maintain SOX controls and security of all sensitive documents and accounting information at all times.
- High School completion or equivalent (GED)
- 3-5 years' experience in accounting/finance
- Experience with SAP systems a plus
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
