Join Our Team as an RRH Case Manager at St. Anthony Family Shelter
Under the guidance of the St. Anthony Family Shelter supervisor, you will play a crucial role in helping homeless individuals transition into permanent housing with the support of funding provided through a grant from the U.S. Housing & Urban Development (HUD).
As the RRH Case Manager, your responsibilities will include providing direct advocacy and case management services to eligible recipients, screening for eligibility, housing plan development, housing search, landlord advocacy, and housing counseling.
You will assist homeless individuals facing various challenges such as victimization due to domestic violence, homeless disabled persons, and individuals with mental health and medical needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:- Providing direct advocacy and case management services
- Processing rental assistance and supportive services requests
- Facilitating referrals to community resources
- Ensuring data entry into the agency database for reporting
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in human services (Preference to applicants with a degree in social work, sociology, or psychology)
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years professional experience in housing and employment
Skills: Competency in using personal computers and familiarity with Windows and Microsoft products
This role will require you to travel within Sedgwick County to deliver services Monday through Friday, and the use of a personal vehicle is necessary (mileage reimbursed).
