Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage multi-state payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payments
- Maintain employee data with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and compliance
- Calculate payroll deductions accurately, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders
- Handle stock-based compensation, RSUs, and bonuses
- Ensure compliance with certified payroll requirements and associated reporting
- Collaborate with HR on updating employee information and resolving payroll inquiries
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Assist in year-end payroll activities and W-2 preparation
- Contribute to the implementation of digital payroll solutions for efficiency
- Perform monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- CPP certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing
- Proficiency in UKG payroll software
- Thorough understanding of payroll laws and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Effective problem-solving skills and independent work capability
