Summary of the Role:

As the Director of Business Development, Strategic, you play a crucial role in identifying, cultivating, and finalizing new business deals with major enterprise companies. This role requires a proactive approach as you will be entrusted with managing the end-to-end sales process, from nurturing leads to closing deals. The ideal candidate will possess a background in technology or services, specializing in selling solutions to senior marketing or sales executives. You will engage in strategic B2B marketing and sales dialogues with senior leaders, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to aid in achieving their growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explore and pursue new business opportunities within a designated territory focusing on large enterprise clients
  • Establish and maintain a robust, consistent pipeline to meet sales targets
  • Research and develop expertise in marketing trends to enhance sales strategies
  • Devise approaches to prioritize and penetrate potential clients effectively
  • Deliver product demonstrations, covering integrations, technology stacks, and presenting strategic proposals
  • Overcome obstacles in reaching out to vendors, address vendor concerns, and drive sales through innovative, persistent, and positive approaches
  • Monitor competitive advancements to contribute to product roadmaps
  • Educate prospective clients on the value of intent data in B2B sales and marketing
  • Share insights with colleagues and functional leaders to support ongoing enhancements of products and processes

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a role focusing on Tech B2B Sales, targeting VP/C-Level Executives
  • Thorough understanding of the B2B Sales and Marketing landscape, particularly in relation to technologies, tactics, services, and strategies
  • Strong organizational skills, process orientation, outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
  • Experience collaborating with large, complex organizations, particularly large enterprises
  • Proficiency in conveying business and technical concepts to stakeholders across all organizational levels
  • Capability to build relationships, navigate organizations, and identify key contacts effectively
  • Skill in customizing sales pitches for prospects and addressing common objections with confidence
  • Past experience in Marketing Technology or Services is advantageous but not mandatory
