Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, cultivate, and pursue new business prospects in North American Mining markets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to effectively market engines and systems.
  • Set challenging yet realistic short- and long-term goals to boost Rolls-Royce Solutions' market presence in mining.
  • Enhance relationships with customers, particularly at senior management levels.
  • Negotiate and finalize sales agreements in collaboration with controlling department.

Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business preferred with 5 years of experience in technical sales & service management of industrial equipment, or 9 years of relevant experience.
Proven track record in selling complex power systems, including diesel engines.
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously for extended periods with limited supervision.
Strong decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Highly analytical with strong critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills in cross-departmental issue resolution.
Proficiency in PC, CRM, and MS Office Suite.
Fluency in English.
Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Preferred

Understanding of mining equipment and MTU products.
Familiarity with mining applications.
Knowledge of product promotion and sales techniques.

Work Conditions:

Office and field sales activities are part of the daily routine. This role follows a standard work schedule (Monday - Friday) with occasional weekend travel.


While fulfilling responsibilities, visits to customer mine sites are necessary, and work may happen indoors or outdoors.

Candidates may need to undergo health assessments for mine access as per specific company requirements. Mine sites may be up to 5000 meters in altitude, with varying environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures, fumes, odors, gases, and dust. Personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, is essential.


Physical demands of the role include sitting, standing, climbing stairs, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and squatting. Color vision and focus adjustment are essential.
