We currently have a need for a Field Geologist/Environmental Scientist for projects in the Metropolitan area. Our office is located in the Greenpoint–Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, NY.

ResponsibilitiesPerform soil sampling, groundwater, air, drilling oversight soil borings and monitoring well installation, monitoring well sampling, underground storage tank UST end point soil sampling, air monitoring, and remediation system samplingSoil description (Unified USCS and standard description by fraction percentage) for boring logsSubcontractor oversight for all typed of work including vac truck services such as enhanced fluid recovery EFR, manhole well repair, bio–injections, excavation, and construction environmental related activitiesData collection and timely submission for filingASTM Phase I assessments
QualificationsBS degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Engineering2–4 years related experienceHAZWOPER training and a 10–hour OSHA Certification preferred and soil erosion SWPP training a plus.Mechanical aptitude to get monitoring wells opened up and take water level measurements with an oil/water probeAbility to read site plans and drawings to locate wellsFamiliarity with equipment such as photo–ionization detector (PID) for organic volatile detection, Horiba water quality instrument, oil/water probe is needed to perform successfully.Highly motivated self–starter with strong analytical and writing skills.Must have a reliable vehicle to get to the sites and be able to carry light equipment for samplingStrong communication skills Please visit our website for all of our career opportunities at
