Caring Pediatrics is a pediatric outpatient clinic based in Tempe, AZ and we have a perfect opportunity for pre-med students to gain hands-on clinical experience.

Previous experience as a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist or EMT. We require a minimum of 2 to 3 half or full days of availability every week. Flexible schedule. We are happy to train you. You will get an opportunity to work and learn from the physicians and other providers. 1-year commitment is required for a minimum for 2/3 days per week. Ideal for students with gap year.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced job. Must pass a background search. You will support doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness and ability to learn and take directions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and pleasant personality
  • Work directly with Physicians, clinicians, and medical staff to provide patient care and coordination. Comfortable with patient intake (training provided)
  • Strong computer skills. Training will be provided for using the electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Team player attitude, energetic, with a focus on excellent customer service, and attention to detail
  • Time Management skills, organization skills
  • Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or EMT certification required. Experience preferred but not required.
