Job Overview

We are searching for a talented and professional Community Outreach Coordinator to maintain all community outreach for homeless Veterans. You will represent the temporary emergency shelter at the Paget Center and work with the team to develop and educate the Veteran population and community partners about the services we provide. Coordinate and manage admission from initial screening to enrollment. Take ownership with cross functional collaboration to ensure accuracy of Veteran's qualifications and eligibility from the VA liaison.

You must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and community-driven to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone who possesses a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player.

Responsibilities:
  • Significant time transporting Veterans to appointments and events.
  • Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, and other communication opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community partners.
  • Schedule regular outreach efforts in the community.
  • Maintain the Outreach Roster of interested Veterans and communicate with each of those Veterans on a weekly basis.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to assist homeless Veterans.
Qualifications

Requirements:

•High School diploma or equivalent

•Outstanding written communication and presentation skills

•Experience with public speaking

•Experience with homeless outreach, ideally with homeless Veterans

•Proficient in MS Office with Outlook, Excel & Word. Web browser savvy

•Maintain a good driving record and be able to pass a background check

•Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude

•Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
