UTA is on the lookout for an innovative individual to join them as a Long Range and Strategic Planning Project Manager, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of transit for both employees and riders.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage, coordinate, and support development activities for various UTA projects and programs.
  • Utilize technical project management skills with a strong background in transportation, public transit systems, and urban planning.
  • Oversee the work of UTA employees, consultants, and contractors conducting planning studies.
  • Assist in selecting and supervising consultants and contractors.
  • Participate in resolving policy issues and strategic problems associated with UTA projects.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, monitor progress, and ensure accountability.
  • Coordinate planning activities with other UTA departments and transportation partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least six years of experience in managing successful planning, transit, or capital projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Engineering, or related field.
  • Related certifications such as AICP, ITE, PMP, PTP, PE are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong teamwork and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving expertise.
  • Project integration and planning skills.
