At Circle of Care, Inc., we're on a mission to spread Christian help, healing, and hope across Oklahoma. We're on the lookout for a talented individual to join us as our Family Specialist with a focus on community outreach who can help us achieve our vision of seeing and serving the wholeness of people to empower thriving individuals and families – is it you? As a family specialist you will be responsible for the recruitment, development, and supervision of foster homes. You will be growing the caseload in the Ardmore and surround area and will be responsible for recruiting and serving new foster homes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Make presentations to community and faith-based organizations for the purpose of emphasizing the need for foster and adoptive parents
● Conduct focus groups and question and answer sessions to recruit foster families for Circle of Care
● Complete home studies on potential foster homes in a timely manner and in accordance with program procedures
● Maintain case notes for each family regarding goals and progress
● Assure all case management requirements are completed in accordance with program procedures
● Maintain accurate case records on both foster homes and children placed in those homes
● Act as liaison between the foster homes and the Department of Human Services (DHS)
● Provide support to foster families, while holding them accountable for licensing requirements and child welfare policy
● Assist in all aspects of program development and operation as assigned
● Travel regionally and statewide using a personal vehicle
● Perform other duties as assigned


SKILLS and ABILITIES
● Present exceptional customer service with high expectations for quality of service
● Ability to communicate thoughts and concerns clearly, both orally and in written form
● Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
● Tolerance to work under adverse conditions
● Open to learning and willing to use new skills and information; receptive to constructive criticism
● Work independently, and as a team member, without constant supervision
● Maintain a willingness to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the agency
● Organized and detailed
● Ability to use standard office equipment
● Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to learn additional software
● Capable of lifting heavy objects of up to 20 pounds
● Ability to ascend and descend stairs
● Desire to work in a social service setting
● Become familiar with all of Circle of Care programs and facilities
● Committed to the mission and vision of Circle of Care


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
● Must be at least 21 years of age
● Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred in social service-related field

● Experience at least two years of experience in a social service field

● Pass a thorough background check (including fingerprinting), Department of Transportation
check, pre-employment physical, drug test as required by Department of Human Services
● Possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license and a good driving record
● Become familiar with all of Circle of Care programs and facilities
● Committed to the mission and vision of Circle of Care
