We are seeking a Full-Time Family Therapy Specialist to become a key member of our Medical Family Therapy Team. This role involves working collaboratively within a healthcare environment to provide essential support to individuals and families.



Position Overview:

The Chickasaw Nation is committed to delivering comprehensive health services that enhance the well-being of our community. As a Family Therapy Specialist, you will be instrumental in facilitating therapeutic interventions that promote mental health and emotional stability.

In this position, you will engage with a diverse range of clients, working alongside other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care. Your contributions will significantly impact the lives of those we serve while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions as required.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to evaluate client progress and overall treatment effectiveness.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing service referrals.
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments and screenings.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Offer clinical consultations and brief interventions as requested by other healthcare providers.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services during regular hours and participate in after-hours support as needed.
  • Manage a full caseload of billable services while contributing to program development.
  • Keep thorough records and documentation as required.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to enhance workplace productivity and safety.
  • Ensure the maintenance of supplies and equipment necessary for service delivery.
  • Uphold a professional and safe working environment.
  • Monitor and address potential safety hazards.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions.
  • Maintain punctuality and adhere to attendance standards.
  • Follow the organization's dress code policies.
  • Participate in outreach initiatives as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Competencies:

  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.

  • Proficiency in understanding and applying relevant regulations and policies.
  • Knowledge of privacy laws, including HIPAA.
  • Understanding of First American populations and their unique needs.

  • Effective verbal communication with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to maintain accurate written records.
Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field.

Nonessential:

  • Doctorate Degree in a relevant field.
Licensure:

Essential:

  • Must pass a general background check.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be a licensed or license-eligible therapist in Oklahoma (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, LADC-MH, LBP, or Psychologist).

Nonessential:

  • Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor.
Work Environment:

Essential:

  • Combination of office and non-office settings.
  • Team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Potentially assisting individuals in emotional distress.
  • Interaction with patients in challenging situations.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • May require bending, kneeling, or reaching.
  • Walking and standing as needed.
