The Post-Closing and Recording Specialist is responsible for completing various post-closing and funding tasks and actions for assigned closing transactions.

The main duties include coordinating all post-closing deliverables to clients, lenders, and consumers.

Responsibilities:

  • Review executed documents for adherence to lender closing instructions
  • Upload and return documents to lenders through various portals
  • Review, prepare and submit documents for recording
  • Check state guidelines for margin, print size and ink requirements for recording
  • Complete any/all transfer tax forms to be sent with the deed
  • Verify recording fees with county and/or state
  • Satisfy any lender funding requirements and obtain funding authorization, as needed
  • Coordinate resolution of any postclosing discrepancy
  • Record and track mortgage discharges and various post policy recording documents
  • Create and send disbursements
  • Prepare and distribute final title policies

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Highly motivated Team Player
  • Working knowledge of the Real Estate Title Process
  • Driven to efficiently use technology to streamline processes
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, followup and time management skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Ability to make complex and time sensitive decisions within company guidelines
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with customer, clients, and vendors
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office

Valuable:

  • Prior relevant title and closing experience
  • Prior paralegal education or experience
  • Prior ResWare or similar title and closing production software experience
  • Knowledge of statebystate processes and their impact on the closing process
