Aerotek's client is a leading hotel management company, with properties across the country.
They are looking for a Chief Building engineer to head up all facilities maintenance on a property in Canton, MA.
This individual will have the autonomy to put procedures in place to best run the facility. They will be supervising one technician-level employee as well.Main Responsibilities:
- Major duties include basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep.
- Foster a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management.
- Assists in the supervision of employees in assigned department.
- Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, and other duties day to day
Job Duties:
- Project Management – Prepares and supports those affected by change, monitors transition, and evaluates results. Ensure routine preventative maintenance on laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguisher, fire and smoke alarms, lawn sprinkler, lawn equipment, exercise equipment and plumbing are performed in accordance with standards.
- Adaptability – Able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events, changing approach or method to
- Initiative - Take independent actions and calculated risks, meets challenges with resourcefulness, generates suggestion for improving work and takes responsibility for own actions.
- People Management – Ensures each employee completes orientation and required brand training. Assists
- Safety and Security – Maintain proper chemical levels in pool and spa areas in accordance to local health codes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 25 Lbs.
- Knowledge with HVAC ( changing filters, belts, etc.)
- General Plumbing and/or electrical is a plus
