Title: Proposal Engineer

Proposal Engineer Job Description:

· Completes machine or project proposals by preparing cost estimates, quotations, proposal drawings and concept sketches as required for bid presentation

Proposal Engineer Job Duties:

· Review and analyze customer quotation request.

· Determines the best solution to the customer request conferring with the Proposal manager and other company experts as required.

· Implements proposal specifications by applying current and possible product designs to customer requirements, and performance standards.

· Prepares detailed cost estimates, proposal drawings, concept sketches and quotations.

· Supports the Sales team by describing the proposal and assisting in customer presentation as required

· Maintains safe and orderly working environment by adhering to company procedures, rules, and regulations.

· Maintains proposal data base.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Work with outside vendors to ensure ancillary equipment needs are successfully met and that customer specifications are considered.

Skills/Qualifications:

· BSME (will consider equivalent experience)

· Three plus years metal cutting machine design experience.

· Cost estimating and proposal experience.

· Design and analysis skills.

· Working knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures.

· Proficient in Auto CAD and Solid Works.

· Proficient in MS Office.

· Good communication skills
