Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develops scope of work with operating units; develops preliminary budgets, schedules, feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses for complex engineering projects.
  • Designs and/or approves design consultants plans, specifications, and cost estimates, schedules and other contract document preparation.Oversees code review and permit submittals, etc.Selects consultant by RFP.Coordinates as necessary with outside review agencies.
  • Prepares, evaluates and negotiates change orders.Stages construction, site inspections with Construction Management.Reviews and approves progress payment and monitors progress of schedules via Construction Management.
  • Prepares Board items for approval, budget reports, PIF's progress reports, briefings; forecasting of expenditures, review of T02 reports; resolves technical questions, approves submittals.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field, and five years of applied progressive experience.
  • Professional Engineer/Registered Architect license desirable.
  • Project Management experience is desirable.
