About the Job:
Join the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund team and become a Senior Benefits Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with extensive experience in employee benefits administration or related areas. As part of the Operations Technical Support Unit, you will play a crucial role in providing expert support and guidance on pension benefits. Your responsibilities will include preparing written output, serving as a subject matter expert on system issues/enhancements, designing and delivering trainings, and analyzing business processes to identify areas for improvement. This position offers a unique chance to work within the United Nations system and contribute to the Fund's mission.
Responsibilities: Prepare written output, updates, and drafts for approval Act as a subject matter expert for complex benefit cases and system issues Design curriculum, deliver trainings, and provide guidance to other team members Research, analyze, and propose solutions for identified problems and issues Deputize for Unit Chief in their absence
Competencies:
Proficiency in various employee benefit schemes, accounting processes, and data analysis. Effective communication skills and a commitment to gender equality. Technological awareness and willingness to learn new tools.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in employee benefits administration, with a preference for experience in pension benefits. Experience in data analytics and training delivery is desirable.
Fluency in English required, knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.
Assessment:
Evaluation may include an assessment exercise followed by a competency-based interview.
