Senior Benefits Specialist

Zara USA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Benefits Specialist to join our team in New York. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing our comprehensive benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement benefits strategies to attract and retain top talent
  • Manage benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and voluntary benefits
  • Conduct benchmarking analysis and monitoring of benefits programs to ensure effectiveness and employee satisfaction
  • Audit and reconcile benefits premiums to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Develop educational materials and deliver comprehensive benefits presentations to improve utilization and understanding
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, and vision plans, wellness programs, life insurance plans, and disability programs
  • Provide regulatory and procedural guidance to managers and employees to ensure compliance with leave of absences and disability accommodation
  • Assist with annual enrollment process and communication strategy
  • Conduct benefits training and new hire orientations
  • Process and monitor workers' compensation claims, multi-state leave of absence, and other benefits-related matters
  • Maintain employee benefits files and ensure benefits changes are properly implemented and aligned within internal and external systems
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of benefits administration experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of medical and voluntary benefits programs, 401(k) plans, FMLA, ERISA, ADA, ACA, FCRA, PFL, DBL, HIPPA
  • Strong in MS Office XP (Word, Excel)
  • Proficient in English language, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through skills
  • Ability to work in both a team situation and independently
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA and workers' compensation policies
  • Knowledgeable in multi-state leave benefits
  • Knowledge of ADP Vantage
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Retail experience is highly desirable
  • Keen sense of customer service

Annual compensation range: $59,000 - $95,000 + discretionary bonus
