Substance Abuse Counselors:
State- California - $ $28.00 per hour

AVAILABLE SHIFTS AND HOURS This is a part time with Benefits Counselor position. (32 hours) Shifts are 8-hours, 5 days per week, and are overtime eligible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE COUNSELOR:

  • Conduct individual counseling sessions and group or family sessions as scheduled and document as required.
  • Facilitate assigned group or family sessions and assist with modifying problem behaviors.
  • Responsible for initial assessments, as well as follow up assessment for client.
  • Prepare individual treatment plan for each assigned client.
  • Evaluate the needs of the client and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities is needed

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALLING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in social or health services field preferred
  • Licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor, as required by California

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Personal experience serving in military or has 1 or more years' experience working with veterans.
