This position assures that the accounts payable obligations of the division are paid correctly and efficiently.Reviews division expenses for questionable items, and research expenses based on this review or at the request of the budget bureau chief. This position will be the Reliacard expert for CSSD; including daily reconciliations for accurate card loads and closure of accounts.

Qualifications

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
  • Advanced knowledge of standard accounting concepts, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to conceptualize accounting-related procedures, to design, to test and analyze results.
  • Knowledge of communication techniques and methods that enable you to deal with possible hostile debtors. Must be able to translate complex accounting concepts into simple terms.
  • Meet minimum qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field.
    • One-year of job-related experience working with people in child support, auditing, and/or accounting.
    • Other combinations of directly related education and experience maybe considered.

This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024.
