Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to support our team in meeting GAAP and SEC requirements. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information, including quarterly reports, 8-K's, 10-Q's, and 10-K's.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and/or assist with various finance/accounting tasks, including monthly Board reports, general ledger reconciliation, investment accounting, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, and financial analysis and report generation.
  • Review and prepare derivative accounting files for completeness and accuracy, and prepare necessary SEC disclosures.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to consolidated financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
  • Complete disclosure checklists to ensure all required disclosures are included in SEC filings.
  • Assist with audit preparation efforts, including tracking and providing required information to auditors.
  • Maintain documentation related to internal controls and ensure all assigned controls are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and transactions.
  • Complete special projects as assigned related to financial reporting and accounting.
Requirements
  • 4-year college degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Applicable work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting/finance profession or regulatory environment specific to banking, bank examining, auditing or financial statement preparation
  • Experience with processes and regulations governing accounting in financial institutions
  • Experience with financial statement and footnote preparation
  • Public accounting or public company financial reporting experience is preferred
  • CPA designation is a plus
