Key Responsibilities

  • Research, code, and enter incoming cash and accounts receivable payments into our receipting system and/or SABHRS.
  • Maintain established internal controls relating to the collection process.
  • Perform lead worker responsibilities, including supervising and guiding team members.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, particularly relating to accounts receivable.

  • Skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, other agency personnel, and the public.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of DPHHS programs and accounting structures.
  • Knowledge of the Statewide Accounting, Budgeting and Human Resource System (SABHRS) and DPHHS subsidiary accounting systems.

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in accounting, business, finance, or a closely related field of study.
  • One year of job-related work experience.
  • Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
