Electrical Test Engineer

Location:

Duration:
Long term Contract

Purpose:
The Test Engineer (I) will support the Engineering process of producing railway vehicles and parts through
testing process. This position will work with various stakeholders such as systems suppliers, customers, and
cross-functional teams from Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, or Quality departments
throughout all phases from sub-systems development to testing to commissioning.

Primary Responsibilities:
1) Perform a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design (CAD) or other software and equipment.
2) Perform testing, troubleshoot to identify root cause of failures, and record and document test results.
3) Assist in writing, reviewing, and updating test procedures.
4) Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, maintenance, documentation, supporting or testing activities.
5) Support Engineering to identify required test equipment/tools and create Material order sheets for purchasing.
6) Review test procedures and feasibility to conduct them during the course of the project.
7) Read, understand and review maintenance manuals especially testing and troubleshooting sections.
8) Help with special projects as assigned by Engineering Managers.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields required.
Practical knowledge in electrical engineering.
Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn rail vehicles and its operation, test, and maintenance.
A team player with a strong determination to complete projects which may span several years.
Excellent schedule and task management skills, and proven ability to meet deadlines
