Rantec Power Systems is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineering Manager to lead our Test Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide hands-on leadership to the Test Engineering team.
- Design and develop test procedures and equipment to support environmental and electronic testing of power supplies and power conversion products.
- Ensure all needed test systems are available and maintained in a functional state.
- Ensure sufficient trained staff within Test Engineering to meet demand for new and existing products.
- Manage the daily operations and activities within the Test Engineering team.
- Manage test engineering staff and provide guidance.
- Manage priorities and workload for Test Engineering staff based on criticality and production schedule.
- Support line down issues with hands-on approach.
- Provide technical guidance to Test Engineers.
- Help drive root cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Prepare appropriation requests for equipment purchases.
- Evaluate test equipment required to analyze product performance and make recommendations in the testing process.
- Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through initial production.
- Provide training in new procedures to staff, and ensure existing procedures are correctly followed and updated according to new requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours and/or different shifts, if needed.
- Work in a collaborative environment with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Business Development, and Finance to execute business strategies.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years test engineering/management experience in electronic manufacturing environment.
- Thorough knowledge of LabView, PC's, MS Project, and MS Office is desirable.
