Rantec Power Systems is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Test Engineering Manager to lead our Test Engineering team.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Test Engineering Manager will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership to the Test Engineering group, designing and developing test procedures and equipment, and ensuring all needed test systems are available and maintained in a functional state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations and activities within the Test Engineering group.
  • Manage test engineering staff and provide guidance.
  • Manage priorities and workload for Test Engineering staff based on criticality and production schedule.
  • Support line down issues with hands-on approach.
  • Provide technical guidance to Test Engineers.
  • Help drive root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Prepare appropriation requests for equipment purchases.
  • Evaluate test equipment required to analyze product performance and make recommendations in the testing process.
  • Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through initial production.
  • Provide training in new procedures to staff, and ensure existing procedures are correctly followed and updated according to new requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and/or different shifts, if needed.
  • Work in a collaborative environment with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Business Development, and Finance to execute business strategies.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years test engineering/management experience in electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of LabView, PC's, MS Project, and MS Office is desirable.
