Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Growth Architect to lead the development of cutting-edge solutions and drive the successful capture of new business opportunities within the federal marketplace. This individual will blend deep technical expertise in ERP and Payroll technologies with strong capture management skills to ensure SOSi delivers award-winning proposals that align with client needs and business objectives. Additionally, this role will involve assisting with program start-up and participating in executive reviews to ensure seamless delivery and ongoing alignment with organizational goals.


Essential Job Duties

Solution Architecture Leadership:

  • Lead the design and development of comprehensive, innovative, and competitive solutions for federal contracts, focusing on ERP and Payroll systems, including Oracle PeopleSoft Global Payroll, North American Pay, Core HR, and Time & Labor.
  • Develop management and technical approaches, including architecture, integration strategies, and technology roadmaps, ensuring all solutions meet or exceed client requirements.
  • Implement agile methodologies for backlog management and ensure the alignment of technical solutions with SOSi's and the client's strategic goals.

Capture Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute capture strategies to win targeted federal contracts, particularly focusing on ERP and Payroll solutions.
  • Lead the capture planning process, securing necessary resources, staffing the capture effort, and managing the team through the proposal development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with the proposal team to ensure that the solution architecture and technical content are fully integrated into the proposal, contributing to a compelling and winning bid.

Technical Solution Development and Proposal Support:

  • Provide hands-on leadership in developing technical solutions, ensuring all aspects of the solution are feasible, scalable, and compliant with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and client requirements.
  • Oversee the creation of technical narratives, architectural diagrams, and other proposal content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client needs.
  • Participate in proposal reviews and color team assessments, refining and enhancing the technical sections to maximize competitiveness.

Client and Partner Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential partners and subcontractors, ensuring that SOSi forms a high-performing team that meets or exceeds set-aside requirements and covers all PWS elements.
  • Work with the VP of Enterprise Solutions to coordinate client engagements, ensuring that the capture strategy is informed by accurate and up-to-date client intelligence.

Cloud Implementation and Migration Experience:

  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions, particularly focusing on AWS or Oracle’s OCI, ensuring integration with existing systems and alignment with client expectations.
  • Provide strategic guidance on cloud migration strategies, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and capable of supporting mission-critical applications.

Program Start-Up and Delivery Support:

  • Assist with the start-up phase of new programs, ensuring smooth transitions from proposal to execution.
  • Provide leadership during the initial implementation of solutions, ensuring that all technical and management elements are in place for successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with program management teams to establish project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the solution architecture.

Executive Reviews and Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in executive reviews, providing updates on program progress, solution performance, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Offer insights and recommendations during executive reviews to address challenges, optimize delivery, and ensure the program's ongoing success.
  • Drive continuous improvement in solution development and capture processes, leveraging industry best practices and innovative approaches.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a matrixed team of technical professionals, capture managers, and other proposal support staff fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
  • Communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations to all team members, ensuring project objectives and timelines are aligned.
  • Drive continuous improvement in solution development and capture processes, leveraging industry best practices and innovative approaches.

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

  • Track and report on solution development and capture performance metrics, including key milestones, win rates, and proposal effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Solution Architect focusing on ERP solutions. Desired experience includes Oracle PeopleSoft Global Payroll, North American Pay, Core HR, and Time & Labor.
  • Proven track record in capture management, with experience leading successful bids in the federal marketplace, particularly in ERP and Payroll solutions.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and backlog management, with experience applying these techniques in large-scale projects.
  • Expertise in cloud architecture, implementation, and migration, particularly with AWS or OCI.
  • Experience in program start-up and delivery, with the ability to transition seamlessly from capture to execution phases.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and team management skills, with the ability to drive collaboration and innovation across functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Training and proven experience using capture methodologies such as Shipley.
