The selected candidate will evaluate RFI and RFP requirements, crafting responsive solutions that encompass staffing and cost considerations. This role involves reviewing solutions crafted by peers, presenting these solutions to both internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating closely with capture and proposal teams.

The candidate will be responsible for creating both logical and physical architectures and designs, as well as authoring proposal materials, including writing proposal sections and creating diagrams, while also reviewing the contributions of others in this domain.

Job Profile Summary:


The Enterprise Solutions Architect is tasked with delivering both business and technical architectural guidance to development teams, business units, and clients for existing and new products and services.

The solutions architect is instrumental in developing marketing strategies, business concepts, and technical capabilities that enhance customer value while distinguishing General Dynamics Information Technology from competitors.

This role encompasses defining, designing, and implementing the complete lifecycle of products and services, including establishing a concept of operations and the necessary procedures and tools for effective delivery.

Conducting analyses of alternatives for various solutions to identify the most effective options that align with overarching business goals and objectives is a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support business initiatives by developing technical and business solutions.
  • Identify solutions based on both business and technical criteria, analyze alternatives, and implement designs.
  • Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies, proposing adjustments and tailoring solutions as necessary.
  • Evaluate existing system and business process architectures, collaborating with staff to recommend enhancements.
  • Ensure that technical architecture teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions that support business objectives.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain established service design procedures and processes by applying recognized frameworks and methodologies.
  • Prepare and present test plans, technical presentations, and analytical briefings.
  • Identify customer requirements, analyze alternatives, and provide product recommendations related to software, platform, and network configurations.
  • Provide updates to stakeholders regarding project costs, schedules, and quality in relation to stakeholder objectives.
  • Offer expert guidance and mentorship to less-experienced colleagues.
  • May serve as a task or project leader without direct people management responsibilities.
  • Recognized as an industry leader in a specific technology.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI poly clearance. Candidates with an active security clearance are strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Work Conditions:


This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a combination of onsite and remote work. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.

Employees should be prepared for extended periods of sitting in a typical office environment and possess the dexterity to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, as well as handle other computer components.

Compensation and Benefits:


The likely salary range for this position is $176,446 - $272,667, subject to adjustment based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
