Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our digital assets, ensuring the integrity and security of our systems, and protecting our clients' sensitive information. You will work closely with our engineering team to implement and maintain robust security measures across all aspects of our platform.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect Closinglock's infrastructure and data.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, and recommend proactive measures to address potential risks.
  • Provide security training and awareness programs for employees to foster a culture of security.
  • Participate in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and encryption.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and web application security.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP are a plus.


This is a full-time, in-person position in our Austin, TX office.
