Lets do this Lets change the world In this vital role you have an opportunity to help shape the sustainability approach for the worlds largest biotech. Corporate Sustainability is an evolving space quickly shifting from voluntary reporting to rigorous, required disclosures. The successful candidate will be a key member of Amgens Corporate Sustainability team focused on mandatory reporting, monitoring regulations, conducting external horizon scanning, overseeing data system management, and being a key partner in the translation of that data into external reporting. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in producing Amgens inaugural Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive report and ensuring compliance with new SEC sustainability reporting requirements. You will work with our functional sustainability partners to advise them on program opportunities that will move the needle and improve transparency. This role is a unique opportunity to shape and drive Amgens sustainability initiatives at a strategic and operational level.
Key Responsibilities:
Section Lead Statutory Reporting
- Strategic review of reporting expectations and disclosures from investors and priority rating agencies; benchmarking with peer companies; review of upcoming regulations, trend spotting. Identify topics and data for inclusion.
- Interview SMEs, scan Amgen sites for content, write report
- Support preparedness and implementation of external assurance for reporting
- Lead data collection, controls and validation
- Support Annual updates to Responsibility section of Amgen.com
- Lead coordination with 17 EU affiliates to ensure transition of global mandatory filings to local filings
- Lead compilation of ISSB and other reporting frameworks
Regulatory Monitoring
Lead Bi-annual horizon scanning
Communicate regulation changes to local functions
Customer Responses regarding sustainability
Support Tenders, Ecovadis and Human rights reporting in all Amgen jurisdictions
ESG Program Development
Lead Monitoring & Analyzing External Environment
Priority ratings assessment
UN Global Compact Disclosure

The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in sustainability within a corporate setting, an ability to navigate complex regulatory environments, and a strong capacity for cross-functional collaboration.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience working in sustainability or statutory reportingOr
Masters degree and 4 years of experience working in sustainability or statutory reportingOr
Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience working in sustainability or statutory reportingOr
Associates degree and 10 years of experience working in sustainability or statutory reportingOr
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience working in sustainability or statutory reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
Broad background in sustainability
Proven track record working successfully in teams
Exposure to legal documentation
Law degree could be a positive but not required

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
