The primary role of the HR Specialist is to enter all payroll data into the HRIS system and ensure system records are accurate. The HR Specialist will also be responsible for performing a variety of human resource duties in the following functional areas (covering the employee life cycle): Employee on-boarding support, with a solid knowledge of HR systems and processes. The Specialist will be the primary owner of the employee files and ensure files comply by doing regular file audits. The HR Specialist will serve as a team member on the HR team and will be part of various HR initiatives as part of that team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Responsible for processing new hires and all employee changes in Paycom via Personnel Action Forms feature and ensuring system records are accurate.
-
Research and resolve all payroll related questions, comments, and employee concerns.
-
Ensure accurate and timely maintenance, processing, and reporting of PTO accruals.
-
Research special projects, assist in audit preparation and process improvements
-
Own organizational data and its integrity.
-
Troubleshoot Paycom issues and user problems.
-
Onboard new hires weekly
-
Track new hire onboarding paperwork to ensure completion.
-
Complete various reporting for the organization including birthday, anniversary, and demographic information.
-
Serve as backup on directing inquiries from the employees through the HR inbox
-
Respond to various benefit and human resource procedural questions.
-
Perform employee verifications.
-
Generate wages letters, internal transfer/promotion letters.
-
Maintain personnel files and miscellaneous human resource filing.
-
Respond to requests for support from managers as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
-
Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or related field OR minimum of 3 years' experience.
-
Minimum of 2 years of HRIS/database experience required.
