We are seeking a dynamic Senior Director of HR Technology to lead our Platform Applications team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record in stakeholder management and the ability to navigate the complexities of a multinational organization. Your role will involve spearheading the integration of cutting-edge learning technologies used by more than 800,000 individuals around the world and driving the execution of a world class Talent Acquisition technology strategy.

As a leader, you will mentor and guide your team, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement. Your strategic vision will be crucial in developing initiatives that attract, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring our workforce is equipped to meet the evolving demands of our industry.

Candidate Profile

Experience

  • At least 10+ years of experience in product management, technology program management, HR technology, learning systems, marketing automation, or a related field is necessary.

  • 5 years or more in a managerial or project leadership role with demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams.

  • Proven success in managing stakeholders within a complex, international organization is essential.

  • Practical experience with automation workflows to enhance global processes is beneficial.

  • Robust leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate a team toward a shared goal are crucial.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective interaction across all organizational levels, are imperative.

  • Experience working in complex and diversified eco-systems with multiple solution providers.

  • Previous experience managing teams and relationships with external vendors required.

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, or related major

  • Roadmap strategy and definition experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to assess end user/customer needs, creatively approach solutions, and decide and influence appropriate course of action.

  • Experience and success in implementing new business applications with complex technology integration and business process change on time, on budget, and with high client satisfaction.

  • Experience evaluating trade-offs and leading exploration of new opportunities with technical team members.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Stakeholder Management

  • Work collaboratively across various teams to creatively address challenges, prioritize tasks effectively, and eliminate obstacles to ensure the successful launch of new products or features that satisfy user requirements.

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition and Talent Development centers of excellence as they drive solutioning for the business, learners, and candidates while maximizing the capabilities of our current tools

  • Leverage “voice of the user” insights to shape technical solutions

  • Continually identify capability gaps and emerging needs to then influence product roadmaps, while maintaining a strong emphasis on data security, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

  • In cooperation with relevant parties, pinpoint and endorse enhancements to systems and workflows, upholding adherence to established procedures and standards, safeguarding data accuracy, and meeting internal audit criteria.

  • Join forces with COEs and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) entities to craft and disseminate communications, manage change, devise training strategies, and roll out new solutions or updates to platforms.

  • Collaborate with IT to steer the direction of technology projects, including estimating costs, managing budgets, defining scope, and formulating delivery strategies, while setting and tracking key milestones and timelines.

Technology

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand evolving business and technology needs, offering insights and recommendations for immediate solutions and long-term planning.

  • Collaborate on the Talent Development technology roadmap, ensuring it aligns with HR objectives and delivers optimal solutions for users.

  • Work with leadership to continuously assess the market, seeking opportunities for the growth and improvement of Talent Acquisition and Learning initiatives, with the aim of enhancing Marriott's talent attraction, retention, and engagement.

  • Oversee the support process, analyzing tickets and feedback to improve system health and identify enhancement opportunities through automation and other improvements.

  • Coordinate with Infrastructure Delivery, Architecture, and Security teams to prioritize updates and address technical debt in the product backlog.

  • Advance the Talent Acquisition and Talent Development ecosystems, seeking to enhance technology and access, and influencing the adoption and deployment of new technologies.

  • Contribute to Marriott's strategic HR technology planning, focusing on driving efficiency and process automation for measurable outcomes.

Team Leadership

  • Facilitate cross functional discussions of HR COEs, Global Technology, and other stakeholders to develop operational and functional solutions for the HCM platform.

  • Lead a team of managers and managers of others, providing direction and guidance within the HR Technology and Analytics teamCore HR & Security mHUB domains.

  • Train and/or mentors other team members, and peers as appropriate.

  • Maintains high performance levels by attracting, developing, and retaining talent, managing performance, building career paths, and aligning performance and rewards to company goals.

  • Actively drives adoption of agile and product technology operating model.

  • Champion excellence in business ethics and integrity, social responsibility, cross-cultural effectiveness, and associate engagement.

The salary range for this position is $134,700 to $255,930 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants.

Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
