Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager for UMass Memorial Medical Center, at the North Pavilion location on campus,located in Worcester, MA. The manager oversees the foodservice operation at this location, overseeing a team of 20+ hourly employees. The hours for this role may involve rotating shifts as well as rotating weekend coverage.

Part of the UMass Memorial University Campus, the North Pavilion will be an inpatient, acute-care facility. The North Pavilion will have 18 private rooms per floor for a total of 72 patient beds. These rooms will be technologically sophisticated and comfortable, designed for both patients and visitors, ensuring optimal care and relaxation.

The successful candidate will:

lead a team of hourly employees by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring daily operations in the kitchen and cafe areasoversee catering deliveries and set ups and assist with ordering as neededmotivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline staff membersutilize Sodexo resources, recipes, systems and use of catering and retail programs effeciently

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
