Job Summary Statement:

The Senior Director of Sales Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the sales organization. This role entails managing sales data, developing sales strategies, optimizing processes, and leading a high-performing sales operations team to achieve company growth objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sales processes, analytics, and technology, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement sales operations strategies that align with overall business objectives. Partner with EVP of sales to drive the execution of strategic initiatives and sales performance goals.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance sales and customer service productivity and efficiency. Oversee the development and maintenance of sales policies, pricing, rep contracts, procedures and documentations. Oversee the completion of the PRF/SMU forms for our strategic customers working with the Sales operation leads and sales directors.
  • Sales Analytics and Reporting: Lead the design and implementation of robust sales analytics and reporting frameworks working with VP of sales. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on sales performance data to drive decision-making.
  • Technology and Tools Management: Oversee the selection, implementation and optimization of sales technology and tools (e.g. Sales automation tools for both sales and customer service. Ensure the sales and customer service team is equipped with the necessary tools and training to succeed.
  • Team Leadership and development: Manage and mentor the sales operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, high performance and enhanced communication. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, finance, product and other departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives. Drive effective communication and collaboration across teams to achieve common goals.
  • Resource Management: Monitor and report on financial performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet targets. Manage and maintain coop accruals and financials for our retailers. Manage the sales operations budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: Four-year college degree.
  • Experience: Five years sales operations, sales management or a related field with a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving sales operations excellence and achieving business growth.
  • English language skills: Ability to respond professionally and effectively in both written and oral form.
  • Math skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts in the development of forecasts, budgets, pricing, reporting, etc.
  • Physical Demands essential to the job: Ability to travel (15-20%), work some extended hours. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Solid presentation skills. Must be able to effectively develop and deliver compelling and informative presentations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound decision-making skills, strategic agility, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in written and oral form, with both internal and external customers.
  • Computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises all sales operation leads as well as Director of Customer Service.
