As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in the success of our sales efforts in the MedTech and medical devices sector. You will work closely with our sales, product, and technical teams to understand client needs, provide technical expertise, and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations. Your goal is to ensure that our solutions meet the unique requirements of our clients in the MedTech space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary technical resource for the sales team during the pre-sales process.
  • Collaborate with account executives and business development teams to understand customer needs, especially in the MedTech and medical device sectors.
  • Conduct detailed product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements to highlight the value of Onwards Technologies’ solutions.
  • Prepare technical proposals, RFP responses, and solution designs tailored to customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of the customers' needs and technical challenges.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive solutions, and technological advancements in the MedTech and medical device industries.
  • Provide feedback to product management and R&D teams regarding customer needs and potential product enhancements.
  • Assist in the creation of sales collateral, white papers, and case studies that demonstrate our expertise in MedTech solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a pre-sales or technical consulting role, with a focus on MedTech and/or medical devices.
  • Strong understanding of medical device regulations, healthcare technology, and product lifecycle management in the medical device industry.
  • Experience working with product development and R&D teams in a MedTech environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, primarily in the Chicago area.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of digital health solutions, IoT in healthcare, and software as a medical device (SaMD) technologies.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and ISO standards for medical devices.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics.
