Must live or relocate to Philadelphia

Our company's objective is to encourage organizations to break the status quo when it comes to their waste and recycling initiatives. We partner with clients to develop programs that contribute to the circular market, help them become more environmentally accountable, and create value for their stakeholders, customers, and employees.

 

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be responsible for finding, vetting, and scheduling product demos with potential customers. You’ll have daily access to company leaders, meetings, and conversations along with the chance to directly influence our success. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 10 years of sales, business development, account management in waste/recycling
  • Team player who can work well independently
  • Effective problem solver, who prefers finding solutions to shutting down ideas
  • Comfortable talking on the phone and emailing with strangers
  • Continual desire for growth and self-improvement
  • High end candidates will bring a book of business, but a hunter mentality is first priority
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science or Environmental Studies is preferred

 

Here's what you'll do:

  • Work closely with the sales team to identify and qualify potential customers and target markets.
  • Utilize various forms of communication (cold calls, email and call campaigns, social media) to open “new doors”.
  • Manage leads by setting appointments, following up on leads, and tracking progress.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets.
  • Learn and utilize various sales and prospecting tools.
  • Use customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage leads and sales activities.
  • Learn, practice, and master the consultative sales process.
  • Deeply understand prospects goals and the problems they are trying to solve.
  • Consult with clients to help them reach their sustainability goals.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and results to management.
  • Attend industry networking events to promote services and identify prospects or potential networking partners.
