I. Job Summary

As a member of the broader HR Service Center – (HRSC) organization, this role will serve as a subject matter expert across a variety of functions for which the HRSC assists employees and business leaders. These functions could include: FMLA/Leave Administration, Policy and Procedure Creations/Managing, entering, maintaining, auditing, and processing sensitive HRIS data. In addition, the Specialist is responsible for maximizing technological capabilities to reduce manual processes, general maintenance of the HCM database, preparing ad-hoc/scheduled reports, and serving as a resource for process-improvement tasks and special projects, and all other tasks assigned.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

  • Ensures the highest level of accuracy for data entered in HR Data systems.

  • Acts as a resource and guide for managers as it relates to HR data and positions.

  • Provides HCM data support for Human Resources staff, all associate end-users, and members of senior management.

  • Communicates effectively with employees, managers and business leaders regarding issues that impact their respective area.

  • Works cross functionally with other HR areas to ensure that employee issues are being resolved in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Assists in training other HRSC associates on topics related to their specific area of expertise.

  • Creates documentation and files that comply to all legal, regulatory, and business requirements.

  • Preserves confidentiality of all employee documentation and files (including medical records).

  • Assists with the support of all aspects of Human Resources as it relates to data requests.

  • Apprises and escalates potential legal, risk, etc. concerns to the HRSC Leadership.

  • Produces and provides reporting specific to their related their area of expertise, monitor, measure, and act upon metrics/KPIs.

  • Provides back-up for other areas of the Employee Data Management team,

  • Adheres to organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies, and standards.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory duties.

IV. Qualifications

A. Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (accredited) in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar study or, in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.

  • Experience: One (1) year of related work experience (in addition to education requirement).

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

  • None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

  • Intermediate/advanced Microsoft excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

The expected hourly range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
