  • Xerion Advanced Battery Corp. , a privately-held lithium-ion battery start-up, is commercializing its patented molten salt electroplating technology and battery architecture that together significantly enhances the performance of lithium-ion batteries while dramatically reducing manufacturing costs.
  • In addition, our sustainable manufacturing process has much lower carbon emissions than the conventional process.
  • We have an immediate opening for a cathode materials scientist.
  • Expertise in molten salts, chemical synthesis, electroplating, and/or batteries is a strong plus.
  • This is a unique opportunity to join a well-funded, fast growing battery startup company.
  • Conduct battery materials synthesis using methods including but not limited to: electroplating, solid-state, sol-gel, and molten salt synthesis.
  • Conduct battery materials characterization using tools including but not limited to: XRD, SEM, EDS, FTIR, Raman, and electrochemical methods.
