Commercial Performance & Operations Senior Manager

Cartier| Coral Gables, FL

Reports to: Vice President of Commercial LAC

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES              Reporting to the Commercial VP, the Commercial Performance and Operations Senior Manager is responsible for tracking performance, reporting on key KPIs, and developing strategic insights and plans through data-driven analysis. This role will play a crucial role in driving business performance and ensuring operational excellence in collaboration with many stakeholders and requires strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

RETAIL PERFORMANCE: BUDGETING, REPORTING, AND ANALYSIS

Budget Management:

  • Define budgets and estimates with the Commercial VP and management.
  • Manage the annual budget process, including analysis, proposal, communication, and monitoring.
  • Establish and track weekly and monthly sales targets.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and present reports to Brand Central Management.
  • Maintain up-to-date rolling forecasts in collaboration with area managers and monitor boutique and specialists performance through dashboards.
  • Develop tools to manage performance, ensuring data accuracy and process improvements.
  • Responsible for improving/harmonizing the organizational processes of the department.

Competitive & Market Analysis:

  • Compile and analyze competitive activities and market data to inform strategy and provide insights to local and international teams.
  • Support Commercial Team in obtaining information pertinent to the Latin America & Caribbean market; including economic contexts, SWOT analysis, brand’s results and perspectives, consumer tastesand behaviors, and lifestyle trends.

 

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT, TOOLS AND TRANSFORMATION

  • KPI Monitoring: Analyze key performance indicators to assess commercial operations effectiveness and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • New Retail Transformation: Orchestrate the deployment of new luxury retail tools and programs in collaboration with area managers and other departments. Develop new tools and gather necessary information from HQ.
  • Initiative Analysis: Evaluate results versus objectives and provide insights for continuous improvement. Provide regular performance reports and insights to team and management.

OPERATIONS EXCELLENCE

  • Manage the Retail Operations Manager who collaborates with external boutiques and all departments, especially with Area Managers. This role ensure that the right tools, programs, procedures and KPIs are in place to drive performance in the boutique network while monitoring daily operational aspects and team development in collaboration with L&D.
  • Oversee retail operations, ensuring the implementation of best practices and operations procedures. Collaborate with area managers to address operational challenges and opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and control costs.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to achieve operational goals.

 

NETWORK & COMMERCIAL TERMS

  • Network Plan
    • Work with the SDP & commercial teams to review renovation, opening and closing plans.
    • Update and consolidate distribution data for LAC commercial activities.
    • Ensure HQ tools are updated regularly with correct distribution information.
  • Retail Network Optimization:
    • Support the Commercial VP and Area Managers in optimizing the retail network, ensuring consistent brand standards and exceptional customer service across all outlets.

  • Commercial Terms:
    • Consolidate, study and ensure harmonization of the Partners Commercial Terms for LAC partners.
    • Manage the Commercial Coordinator who is supporting the commercial team in updating customer data, terms, contracts, expenses in our system and in our files

 

STRATEGIC PLANNING & EXECUTION

Strategic Plan & Action Plan development and follow-up:

  • Collaborate with the Commercial VP, commercial team, other departments and HQ teams to develop and implement annual strategic action plans.
  • Align operational strategies with business objectives to drive growth and profitability.
  • Support the Commercial VP into defining the LAC Commercial strategy & coordinating the implementation and prioritization through 360 degree plans with all departments.
  • Assist in building a robust practice around driving business performance through prioritization of initiatives and consistent execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support the Cartier action plans process and ensure consistent execution throughout the year.
  • Lead the Partners Action Plans Process to have a unified approach in the department.

Presentation & Communication:

  • Prepare commercial strategic presentations for Brand Central Management and complete documentation for Cartier International and Cartier LAC.

Ex: 3-year plan, Yearly Strategic Plan, Exco Meetings, Monthly Business Reviews etc.

  • Create unified communications and supporting materials for the team.

    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including collegues, vendors, partners, HQ and customers.
  • Collaborate with all departments and area managers to drive integrated commercial strategies.

 

Geographical Area Under Responsibility: Latin America & the Carribean markets

Headcount Supervised: Commercial Coordinator, Retail Operations Manager, two Interns

 

JOB PROFILE

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field required. 
  • MBA preferred.

Required experience:

    • Minimum 10 years experience in the international sales, retail and/or marketing fields. 
    • 5/7 years experience in the Luxury industry.
    • 4/5 years of successful experience in management / people leadership experience. 

Technical skills / abilities:

  • Strong level of overall IT literacy with compulsory advanced level on excel.
  • Knowledge in project planning& management, budgeting techniques and strategic thinking.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. French and Portuguese are a plus.

 

Personal skills:

  • Strong analytical skill, structured and methodical mind-set, problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills; ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
