Position Overview:

The Ladders is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to enhance our team, focusing on evaluating risk factors linked to Commercial Real Estate financing. This role involves the assessment of intricate structures and transactions associated with acquiring, refinancing, repositioning, and developing income-generating properties, including multifamily, retail, office, warehouse, and hospitality loans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate loans designated for various real estate purposes across multiple property types.
  • Conduct property valuations and comprehensive market assessments.
  • Analyze financial statements and tax returns to gauge the financial robustness of guarantors.
  • Perform thorough global cash flow analyses for real estate.
  • Engage with Sponsors/Borrowers, Relationship Managers, and Portfolio Managers to facilitate communication.
  • Support the training and development of junior credit analysts.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor potential risks to earnings or capital.
  • Participate in committees, representing the Credit Services Unit and the organization.
  • Assist in structuring loans and reviewing legal covenants.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Management and contribute to new business initiatives.
  • Conduct annual reviews and site inspections of projects.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis. At least 7 years of professional experience in lending or credit analysis is required. Familiarity with banking products and documentation is essential.

Required Skills:

A comprehensive understanding of credit protocols, accounting principles, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
