Serve as a Team Leader.
Lead the team in: identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization. making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product.
Serve as a senior scientist and nationally recognized technical authority in viral diagnostics.
Plan, prioritize, initiate, design, conduct, coordinate, direct and lead basic and applied research studies, particularly as related to development of novel diagnostics for virus families that cause diseases of humans.
Provide consultation and advice to the agency in areas of personal research expertise. Participates in the development of policy and educational documents and on review and advisory panels.
