Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Clinical Research Physician to join our team at Wake Research. This part-time position is available at our Atlanta, GA site, requiring approximately 8 hours of commitment per week. The ideal candidate will have a specialty in Endocrinology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical guidance throughout the clinical trial process.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external medical professionals and local opinion leaders.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in various departments, including Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Patient Engagement.
  • Lead and oversee a team of researchers and clinical staff involved in the execution of clinical trials.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of research protocols in compliance with FDA regulations and GCP guidelines.
  • Evaluate the eligibility of study volunteers for clinical trials.
  • Conduct physical examinations and assessments as required by research protocols.
  • Complete all mandatory industry training.
  • Assess the health of study participants through interviews and physical examinations.
  • Communicate diagnostic information and treatment objectives to patients.
  • Review diagnostic reports and provide clinical direction to the research team.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of post-training experience as a physician specializing in endocrinology.
  • Current medical license to practice in the state of employment, with no history of license suspension or debarment.
  • Advanced understanding of treatment protocols and drug interactions.
  • Proven ability to establish rapport with patients and biopharmaceutical sponsors.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in providing clinical oversight to research teams.
  • Background in clinical research.
