Role of the Medical Assistant/Nurse:
The Medical Assistant/Nurse plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive top-notch care during their participation in clinical research studies. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for patients.
- Conducting patient visits with precision, ensuring adherence to clinical trial protocols.
- Reviewing and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Serving as a knowledgeable resource in double-blind studies.
- Administering investigational products and medications responsibly.
- Collecting and entering patient data accurately into various systems.
- Communicating effectively with pharmaceutical sponsors regarding patient data.
- Building and maintaining trust with physicians by keeping them informed about schedules and trial protocols.
Essential Qualifications:
- Required: Certification as a Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN.
- Required: A minimum of 6 months of experience in a healthcare environment.
- This position is onsite, Monday through Friday; remote or hybrid options are not available.
- Prior experience in clinical research is a plus but not mandatory.
- Coffee enthusiasts are preferred; tea drinkers are also welcome.
