Position Title: Lead Computational Chemist - Senior Research Scientist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a full-time Lead Computational Chemist to join our dynamic team. This role emphasizes the application of computational methodologies to enhance our research and development efforts in informational interpretation, specifically through the implementation of reaction dynamics, molecular dynamics, and molecular orbital theory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the ideation and exploration of concepts utilizing cheminformatics tools.
  • Develop predictive models for calculating physical properties.
  • Contribute to project planning and execution.
  • Create and manage comprehensive databases.
  • Characterize solid materials through various analytical techniques.
  • Investigate materials responsive to light diffraction.
  • Explore and implement modifications of organic and inorganic structures.
  • Apply numerical methods for two-particle solutions.
  • Utilize Extended Huckel Theory in research.
  • Simulate molecular behavior in specific contexts using advanced imaging applications.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain software programs.
  • Incorporate recent advancements in computing technology and applied mathematics.
  • Utilize custom research software for both straightforward and complex challenges.
  • Follow project-specific software development protocols.
  • Commit to upholding the company’s values and ethical standards.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and report research findings.
  • Apply advanced scientific principles and standards to analytical development.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in developing numerical environmental prediction codes in high-performance computing settings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field with significant industrial experience.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with research partners and academic institutions.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying technical details and presenting results.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in a research environment.
