The Opportunity

This position works out in our facilities of Irving TX, in the Diagnostics Division. 

Weâre empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbottâs diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.

The position is for the Core Diagnostics Division, in Irving Texas. The National Sales Trainer will assist in the execution of training plans for our sales professionals. The candidate with develop and deliver the education and preparation of our sales teams including but not limited to Account Executives, Ambassadors, District Managers, Enterprise Account Managers, and product specific specialists. You will work in coordination with the Training Manager to effectively coordinate and deliver content in training sessions. We are looking for an ambitious, organized and highly efficient expert with successful diagnostic sales and or training experience. Familiarity with Core Diagnostics sales is also helpful for candidates considered for this position. We offer a generous compensation structure and a team-oriented environment.

What Youâll Work On
â¢Â Â   Work with the National Training Manager to implement training programs, certifications, and initiatives. This includes identification and prioritization of training needs through collaboration with the leadership team
â¢Â Â   Identify, administer, and measure key indicators and assessment tools that ensure that new hire sales training participants have an understanding of all key areas: sales process, product information, internal processes including but not limited to Salesforce, Power BI, and Definitive Healthcare
â¢Â Â   Assist with Product Managers in implementing training programs to support acquisition and value expansion goals
â¢Â Â   Keeps up to date on all product information, marketing strategies/initiatives to be serve as an ongoing a key resource for new hires beyond formal training.
â¢Â Â   Must provide product demo excellence capabilities on key products
â¢Â Â   Provides expert level product demonstrations on key products to attendees
â¢Â Â   Works with the training manager to identify unmet training needs and help create a curriculum to facilitate the necessary training
â¢Â Â   Establishes and maintains communication channels with sales District Managers and Training colleagues to gather feedback on current training offerings and future needs. High level of communication with training manager and District Managers to ensure New Hire training and development needs are met
â¢Â Â   Develop and maintain repository of required competency measures by Global Training including but not limited to exams, quizzes, certifications, role plays, projects and assigned video content
â¢Â Â   Manage content in the learning management system
â¢Â Â   Stay current on market trends, assessing the potential impact on customer group and designing the training curriculum appropriately

Required Qualifications

â¢Â Â   Bachelorâs degree
â¢Â Â   , 5+ yearsâ experience in of overall business experience, with 3+ years of experience in medical devices or diagnostics industry.
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
â¢Â Â   5+ years of related experience in diagnostic, medical devices or capital equipment sales, service, or sales support roles, with 2+ years of experience in sales training
â¢Â Â   Demonstrated track record of high achievement
â¢Â Â   Excellent leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
â¢Â Â   Delivering effective virtual and in-person training experiences

â¢Â Â   Must have an understanding of basic learning principles and adult learning theory.
â¢Â Â   Proven presentation and consultative skills necessary; experience presenting or facilitating workshops for various stake holders
â¢Â Â   Proficient skills in Microsoft suite of products with demonstrated expertise in PowerPoint
â¢Â Â   Demonstrated excellent communication skills; ability to prepare effective written evaluations and recommendations for improvement
â¢Â Â   Experiences as a user or administrator of a learning management system
â¢Â Â   Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.  Demonstrated ability to take appropriate decisions, communicate effectively and focus on continuous improvement of work products.
â¢Â Â   Demonstrated ability to utilize internal resources, work in a matrix environment, effectively plan and work with other sales / technical trainers.

The base pay for this position is $83,000.00 â $166,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
