Position Overview:
The Lead Sales Executive is tasked with achieving designated objectives linked to the overall success of the hotel. This individual will be instrumental in effectively reaching out to and securing new clientele.
The Lead Sales Executive will collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to fulfill the hotel's revenue and market share targets across one or more properties.
The sales focus may differ based on the specific property to which the associate is assigned (i.e., Leisure, Business Travel, Group, SMERF). This role will also function as a mentor and trainer for other members of the Sales team.Management-level associates are expected to dedicate as much time as necessary each workday to fulfill their job responsibilities; for OEM associates, overtime is applicable and calculated accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in Hotel Sales.
A valid driver's license for the applicable state is necessary.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for negotiating, persuading, selling, and influencing other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and/or corporate clients.
Proficiency in general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products, is required.
The ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial; strong organizational and presentation skills are necessary.
Core Duties:
Successfully achieve assigned sales and revenue targets as well as solicitation call objectives while also training and mentoring others to do the same.
Proactively conduct solicitation calls, lead sales tours, and entertain clients specific to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel (BT), and/or Groups as relevant to the property.
Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Adhere to established regulations, company standards, sales standards, and sales metrics.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the hotel's operations and policies, as well as those of applicable departments.
Maintain a strong presence in the local community and industry organizations as appropriate.
May assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as sales blitzes.
Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, along with any other functions required by management.
Perform any additional duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.
