This is a 24-month program with emphasis on pharmaceutical care residency accreditation standard. This position provides experience in four key areas; inpatient acute care, ambulatory care, drug information and practice management. The position also functions to implement and coordinate all aspects of patients pharmaceutical needs in the patient care areas including but not limited to; medication order implementation and distribution; provide assurance of appropriate dose, route, frequency and duration of therapy, review patient medication pro?les for drug-drug interactions, duplication of therapy, drug allergy interactions and appropriate regimens; assist in coordinating patients pharmaceutical needs with physicians and nurses. This position is also responsible for supervising technicians, undergraduates teaching and providing educational programs for hospital staff (nurses and pharmacy staff).

Experience

Graduation from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy and licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of Ohio. Strong preference is given to candidates with Pharm.D degree.
