Position Overview:

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is looking for a Graduate Student Intern to become a part of our Long-Term Services & Supports division. This internship aims to enhance the intern's academic knowledge and practical experience through active participation in various agency projects and specific assignments relevant to their field of study.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Home & Community Based Services Policy team with essential projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in the implementation of the CMS Access Rule.
  • Contribute to reporting requirements by aiding in data collection, measure calculation, and quality improvement strategies.
  • Provide project support for the grievance, appeals, and complaint system, focusing on system design and documentation.
  • Develop Excel-based reporting templates to streamline data entry and enhance accuracy.
  • Create tools for measure trending and assist in preparing data for reporting purposes.
  • Organize quality documentation by establishing a standard folder structure for easy access to essential records.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program, preferably in Public Health, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Data-oriented candidates are highly preferred.

Additional Information:
