Summary:The Associate Manager (AM) position provides supervision, leadership and mentorship for OHRI associates conducting research activities and administrative functions. The Associate Manager (AM) is responsible for tactical operational delivery and execution of research studies and projects in their area of oversight and accountable for planning, coordinating, overseeing, conducting/executing studies and projects in one or more therapeutic areas, sites, or programs. The AM is accountable to drive and monitor project related and departmental activities throughout the lifecycle of the study ensuring targets are met according to timelines, budget, and quality expectations. The AM will directly manage between 5-8 FTEs who may be located at multiple care-sites, therapeutic, administrative areas, and/or programs. Travel to regional sites may be required according to portfolio or program needs. The AM will be accountable for leading, directing, teaching, conducting performance reviews to ensure quality and compliance within the department. The AM will engage in the hiring process with the Manager. The AM will create and report metrics for their area(s) of oversight to the Manager and other leaders as appropriate. This position will be on-site if direct reports are clinically focused and hybrid if direct reports provide non-clinical support. The AM will report to an OHRI Manager.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's DegreeSPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Broad clinical trial management and research administration experience: cardiovascular; neuroscience; oncology (cooperative and industry); musculoskeletal, etc. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of clinical trial management. Knowledge of OhioHealth data systems (EPIC, CTMS Workday). Experience working with IRBs and knowledge of regulatory functions. Knowledge of the drug and medical device development processes along with thorough understanding of GCP and FDA policies and recommendations. Able to perform a clinical and logistical review of protocols and apply this knowledge to help operationalize a research study/project. Able to develop and track metrics to monitor departmental and associate performance and time expenditures.Work Shift:
