Position Overview:

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Graduate Student Intern to contribute to our Long-Term Services & Supports division. This internship aims to enhance the intern's knowledge and experience through involvement in various agency projects and specific assignments aligned with their academic focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Home & Community Based Services Policy team with essential projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in the implementation of reporting requirements, including data capture and quality improvement plans.
  • Provide project support for grievance, appeals, and complaint systems, focusing on system design and documentation.
  • Develop automated Excel reporting templates to streamline data entry and reduce calculation errors.
  • Create tools for measure trending and assist in preparing data for reporting purposes.
  • Organize quality documentation by establishing a standard folder structure within the agency's shared drive.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an accredited graduate program is preferred.
  • Preferred fields of study include Public Health, Public Policy, or related disciplines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential; candidates with a data-oriented background are preferred.

Additional Information:

This is a part-time, temporary internship. Travel may be required as necessary, and candidates must provide their own transportation.
