This is about Oakland first, always. Position SummaryThe Ticket Operations & Database Coordinator at Oakland Roots is responsible for administering ticketing system software and supporting the ticket fulfillment team for all home matches and special events. Preferred candidates will have 2-3 years of experience with ticketing systems in professional sports or large special events. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide ticketing software event coding, frontline user support, seating manifest coding, and price coding to support all ticket offers across various points of sale.
  • Coordinate and ensure ticket order fulfillment for internal orders, payment processing, and data/coding requests for special events hosted by Oakland Roots.
  • Manage third-party ticketing software manifest build, event creation, database coding, and system support for special event ticketing needs.
  • Actively manage ticket inventory allocations and create special offers on ticketing software for targeted marketing promotions, from inception through event reconciliation.
  • Serve as the primary customer service contact for in-house ticket services, Tickets.com customer service, and the front-of-house guest services team for special event ticketing needs.
  • Act as the coordinator and project management lead for primary ticketing partners and third-party special event ticketing partners to ensure overall system programming and software performance expectations are met.
  • Provide direct support and coordination for daily ticket fulfillment requests for internal and VIP orders for assigned third-party special events.
  • Assist and support the Senior Director of Sales with ticketing software event coding requirements, event support coverage, and event management, including staff training and access control support.
  • Support the Senior Director of Sales with ticketing resolution support, staff scheduling, communication, frontline leadership, and serve as the event day point of contact for the ticket resolution team.
  • Take responsibility for ticket order fulfillment and coordination of general ticket services inquiries related to internal and third-party orders.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Sales to ensure exceptional service for all home matches and special events hosted by Oakland Roots.
 Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelorâs Degree in Business, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field, or relevant professional working experience.
  • Minimum of two years of ticketing system administration and/or ticket operations experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous supervisory and/or project management experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of ticketing systems, database structures, and the ticketing ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new programs.
  • Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and in non-traditional settings.
  • High degree of technological competence and point-of-sale experience.
  • Advanced user experience with Tickets.com, TM1, and Archtics ticketing systems preferred.
  • Experience with additional ticket operations systems or relational database programs preferred.
  • Previous ticketing experience with an entertainment venue or professional sports team preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
 Work Hours:Traditional 9am-5pm work hours, in addition to working games, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned (e.g., answering phones, working sales booths, visiting clients). Compensation:
  • Competitive base hourly rate with a performance-based bonus program.

  • Base Hourly: $25/hour ($52,000 per year)
