Position: Administrative Assistant
Location: Houston, TX (Near North Loop Fwy)
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant with prior legal experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law office and be proficient in handling a range of administrative tasks with a focus on legal documentation and office management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Send out fee agreements via Adobe eSign.
- Create and manage matter files in One Drive.
- Set up client and matter profiles in RTG billing software.
- Manage attorney calendars and schedule case events, including deadlines, hearings, and mediations.
- Track and manage PTO for staff.
- Oversee office supplies, including managing the copy machine and placing supply orders.
- Maintain and organize One Drive files.
- File court documents through the Texas EFile website.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
- Coordinate with court clerks for scheduling and hearings.
- Format and proofread legal documents.
- Develop new template documents for client matters.
Required Proficiencies:
- Strong skills in Outlook, Word, and Adobe.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Teams.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a law office.
- Familiarity with legal documentation and court filing systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
